What this site collects — and what it doesn’t
Privacy.
This page describes how this website handles your information. It is written in plain language on purpose. Therapy is a private thing, and the website that leads you to therapy should be private too.
Analytics on this website
This site loads Lovable’s analytics script. It records which pages are opened, how quickly they load, and a randomly generated session identifier — never your name, your email, or anything you type into a form. It does not record or replay your session. There are no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers.
The point of this is simple: I want to know that the site works and which pages are being read, without knowing who is reading them. If you would rather your browser not send any of this, most browsers offer a “do not track” or private-browsing mode, and browser-level extensions that block analytics scripts will also block this one.
The contact and appointment-request forms
The forms on this site collect only what is needed to reply to you: your name, an email address, an optional phone number, the times of day you prefer to be contacted, and whether you would like to be contacted in English or Spanish. You are welcome to write a short note about what you are looking for help with, but you do not have to.
The website is not a secure channel. Please do not send confidential health information — diagnoses, medication details, incident descriptions, or anything you would not want another person to read — through the form. If you need to share that kind of information, we will do it inside the HIPAA-compliant client portal once you are set up as a client.
Contacting me through this website does not create a counselor–client relationship. That relationship begins after we have spoken, agreed to work together, and signed intake paperwork.
Where your clinical records actually live
Anything clinical — session notes, treatment plans, assessments, payment records tied to your care — lives inside a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system, not on this website. Your therapy record is protected under federal HIPAA rules and Texas state law. The website you are reading right now does not have any of that.
Cookies and local storage
The site sets only what is needed for the site to function and for the analytics script described above. There are no advertising cookies. There is no cross-site tracking. There are no third-party marketing tags.
Email and phone
When you email me or leave a voice message, that message goes through ordinary email and voicemail systems. Those systems are not end-to-end encrypted. Please keep the content of a first message general — that you are looking for therapy, when you can be reached, what language you would like to speak. Anything more sensitive belongs inside the secure portal.
Your rights over your own information
You can ask, at any time, what information this practice has about you and to have it corrected if something is wrong. If you are already a client, requests about your clinical record are handled under HIPAA and are made through the same channel as any other clinical request. If you are not a client and you simply sent a message through this website, you can ask me to delete that message.
Children
This website is not directed at children. If you are a parent asking about therapy for a teenager, the request comes from you.
Updates to this notice
If the analytics or forms on this site change in a way that changes what is described here, this page will be updated. This page is not a legal contract; it is a plain-language description of how the website actually works.
Questions
If any of this is unclear, or if you want to know something that is not covered above, please ask through the contact form. I would rather answer a question directly than have you wondering.
