NAMI HelpLine: 1-800-950-6264. ## [Texas Health and Human Services — Mental Health](https://www.hhs.texas.gov/services/mental-health-substance-use) State-level information about Texas mental health services, local mental health authorities, and public programs. **How to reach them:** Visit the Texas HHS mental health page. ## A note about how to use this list None of the organizations above are part of this practice, and being listed here is not an endorsement of one over another. They are here because I have found them to be useful starting points for the women I work with, and because they are open to anyone — you do not need to be a current client to reach them. If English is not your first language, both 988 and the National Domestic Violence Hotline offer service in Spanish. For any of the others, it is fine to ask, in your own words, whether a Spanish speaker is available. You do not need to explain your whole situation in a language you are not comfortable in. If you are already a client of mine and something urgent comes up between sessions, please use one of the resources above right away — the website is not a secure channel, and I may not see a message in time.
